Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has promised to ensure a peaceful and seamless transition to the incoming government of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP.
State Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, disclosed this in a statement issued to DAILY POST on Saturday.
He said the main transition committee and various sub-committees are working closely for a smooth handover.
Garba dismissed claims by the NNPP that the outgoing administration is undermining the transition program.
He explained that the outgoing government’s transition committee is gathering all relevant data and information, while the incoming government’s committee will receive the report at the appropriate time.
Garba stated that the committee aimed to prepare a handover from one government to another and not to promote any form of ideology.
He urged the incoming government to work for a smooth transition process and avoid anything that could sabotage the process.
DAILY POST reported that the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP has accused Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of sabotaging the smooth transition process.
