Shehu Sani reacts as FG shuts down telecom services in Zamfara

Shehu Sani, a socio-political activist, has reacted to the Federal Government’s directive to shut down telecommunication services in Zamfara State.

DAILY POST had reported that the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Friday directed the providers to promptly comply with the order.

Umar Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman, wrote a memo saying the decision would allow relevant security agencies to carry out required activities to curtail the security challenges.

Reacting, the former Kaduna Central Senator said any order that would end terror is welcome.

“The FG directive to Telecos to shutdown network services in Zamfara State in order to enable it tackle terrorism is one step out of so many previous ones; banning mining, banning motorcycles, shutting down schools and markets.

“Anything practicable that can end terror is welcome,” he tweeted.
