The Senator representing Kaduna South, Danjuma La’ah, has condemned the killing of 15 persons by suspected bandits at Ungwan Doo Village, an extension of the Mabushi community, in Atyap Chiefdom, Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Recall that bandits stormed the community with weapons on Saturday night and killed scores of people, burnt several houses and wounded many others.

In a statement on Monday morning, Senator La’ah said the bandits invaded the village in the early hours of Sunday, in large numbers, shooting sporadically.
According to him, they burnt four houses and left 15 people dead, mostly women and children, who were running for safety.
He said those who sustained injuries have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
While commending the security agencies for their quick response, La’ah tasked the people of Southern Kaduna to be vigilant and protect their communities, as well as report any suspicious movement of criminals to the authorities concerned.
The lawmaker also challenged the Kaduna State Government to rise to its constitutional responsibility, to protect the lives and property of the people, adding that, the government was not taking proactive measures, to curtail the unabated blood bath lingering for years in the area.
