Manchester City would lock horns with the likes of newly-promoted Fulham side as the League returns in the English topflight.
Pep Guardiola had the freedom of resting several of his star names in midweek ahead of Saturday’s Premier League meeting (game) against Scott Parker’s men.
The likes of Riyad Mahrez, Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte all sat out the barren draw against Portuguese giants FC Porto where City earned their sports as group winners in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Brazil’s forward Gabriel Jesus came on as a substitute in that game but is likely to start for the Eastland in this fixture especially as Argentine Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero is a doubt, prior to the match.
Nathan Ake returned to the Manchester City team ahead of the FC Porto game in midweek but Benjamin Mendy was given a rest, meaning the former Barcelona boss (Pep) has a plethora of defensive options to feature.
Elsewhere, Algeria Riyad Mahrez could return to the wings after scoring a superb (magnificent) hat-trick in 5-0 thumping of Sean Dyche’s Burnley last week.
He is expected to play from the start by virtue of that performance last time out.
Here is a possible line up for Manchester City
Ederson; Kyle Walker, Aymeric Laporte, Ruben Dias, Benjamin Mendy; Ikay Gundogan, Rodrigo Hernandez, Kevin De Bruyne; Riyad Mahrez, Ferran Torres, Gabriel Jesus.
