French F1 Driver Romain Grosjean was involved in a freak accident during the Bahrain Grand Prix 2020
Grosjean’s car went through the guardrail, broke it in the middle and exploded in flames.
The whole world held their breath, wondering if there was anything left of the Frenchman.
By some miracle, he made it out alive.
Romain Grosjean was quickly extracted from the burning vehicle and rushed to hospital.
He has suspected broken ribs and burns.
According to Steiner who spoke to Formula 1, Romain Grosjean is doing okay and suffered light burns.
Said Steiner
Romain is doing okay, I don’t want to make a medical comment but he had light burns on his hands and ankles. Obviously he’s shaken… I want to thank the rescue crews who are very quick. The marshals and FIA people they did a great job, it was scary”
Everyone on social media expressed their shock and relief at how Grosjean walked out alive, at what would have easily become a tragedy had it not been a case of good engineering and added safety measures.

I’m so grateful Romain is safe. Wow… the risk we take is no joke, for those of you out there that forget that we put our life on the line for this sport and for what we love to do. Thankful to the FIA for the massive strides we’ve taken for Romain to walk away from that safely
We wish him a speedy recovery!
