Today, Nigerian singer Davido announced he was about to sign a female artist to his record label for the first time in history.
Davido tweeted; “Boutta sign my first female Artist!!! It’s boutta be litt!!!!!”

However, it appears all Davido was trying to do was to promote the lady’s song and nothing more.
The female artist identified as Lola Rae has revealed in new tweet on Twitter that Davido was not signing her, that he was only trying to help her promote her song.
She tweeted;
“Excited to hear @davido is signing a new female artist!!! This is amazing amazing news! I was never signed to Davido he was just incredibly kind enough to help push & promote an upcoming artist aka myself! God bless him forever for that so so grateful ”
