Sabri Lamouchi has been appointed as the new boss of Nottingham Forest, just 18 minutes after the club announcing the departure of Martin O'Neill.
Forest released a statement on Friday lunchtime to say the 67-year-old O'Neill was leaving his post at the City Ground after just five months in charge. It was only 37 words long.
It read: 'Nottingham Forest can confirm that manager Martin O’Neill has left the club.
'The club would like to thank Martin for all his efforts during his time at The City Ground and wish him well for the future.'
Moments later, another appeared welcoming former Rennes boss Lamouchi.
Lamouchi took Rennes into the Europa League last season where they were knocked out by Arsenal.
However, Lamouchi wasn't about to witness it, having been sacked in December 2018 following a string of bad results.
He was also in charge of Ivory Coast at the 2014 World Cup, where they exited at the group stage following a 2-1 defeat by Greece. He was relieved of his duties in the aftermath of the tournament.
Forest revealed on confirming the appointment that he will be joined by six new members of staff.
The changes come five days after assistant boss Roy Keane left his role.
