Arsenal are set to offer Kieran Tierney a life-changing £20million contract as they look to make the left back their first signing of the summer, according to The Sun.
The left back is keen to join the Gunners but the club's opening bid of £15million has been rejected by Celtic with the Scottish champions demanding a fee of at least £25m.
Tierney, though a Celtic fan, wants to further his career and is understood to have asked for the opportunity to talk to interested clubs.
And Arsenal's chiefs are prepared to sanction a massive five-year deal for the 22-year-old.
The north London outfit would be willing to pay the Scot somewhere in the region of £70,000 a week, seeing him make a around £4m a year.
Tierney sa
w a move to Everton fall through last summer and has interest from Napoli too this time round.
Team-mates believe he will leave this window with Arsenal optimistic they can reach a compromise with Celtic who have already identified possible replacements.
The 22-year-old Tierney has had hip and hernia issues in recent months and subsequently underwent surgery for a double hernia at the end of May. He is hopeful, however, of being fit for pre-season.
