James Argent is warned he must lose 10 STONE to return to full health.

James Argent has been advised to lose 10 stone and 17 inches off his waist after admitting he is 'on death row' after gaining weight. 

The 31-year-old former TOWIE star appeared on This Morning on Thursday, where the show's resident health professional Doctor Ranj Singh assessed his weight gain, with Arg admitting he knew it wouldn't be 'a quick fix'. 

Following his brief split from Gemma Collins, he has spoken about his plight while also admitting being clean from drink and drugs has contributed to his weight gain as he has replaced substance abuse with food.

In his nine years in the spotlight, Arg has been extremely candid about his weight battle as he has dangerously yo-yoed throughout his tough times. 

His recent weight gain comes in the midst of his split from Gemma, although he confessed they are back together, while he has also attributed his plight to his battle with substance abuse. 

He said: 'I'm proud at myself I've been able to do really well career wise in the last nine months, I’ve stayed sober but instead of me going out with mates doing drugs... I’m probably acting out on food.' 

On losing wight in the past, he explained: 'I mean I've done it before so I can do it again whereas before it was kind of all or nothing...
