Double-barrelled Extinction Rebellion activist who sprayed-painted Tory HQ storms out of Sky interview

A climate change activist who once vandalised Tory HQ with spraypaint was today branded a 'stroppy teenager' after he stormed out of a live Sky News interview.

Robin Boardman-Pattison, 21, stomped off set when Extinction Rebellion protestors were branded 'incompetent, middle class, self-indulgent people' by host Adam Boulton.

He was being quizzed by the news channel as the group continued to cause chaos across London for a third day, which has seen more than 300 people arrested.

Boardman-Pattison, who according to blogger Guido Fawkes was a leading member of an anti-Heathrow expansion group that vandalised the Conservative Party HQ last summer, tried to explain to Mr Boulton why the group was protesting.

He said: 'I care so deeply so deeply about all the people in this world and all the life on it - and I will not see it die.

'Millions of people are going to starve. We face another hot summer and we are going to see the effects right here in the UK.

'People are not going to be able to put food on their plates and I won't stand for that. I won't stand for people who won't stand up for what it means to live on this planet - and I won't stand for anything else.'

But Veteran broadcaster Mr Boulton said: 'I feel very patronised by you because I feel that I'm well aware of what the situation is and I don't see why millions of fellow citizens should be inconvenienced.
