Africa Is Better Than America - Akon Reiterates

International musician and humanitarian, Akon, has expressed his views on why he thinks Africa is better than America.

Speaking in a summit featuring hundreds of African youths, Akon said America seems like the greatest country because of filmmakers, directors and press project a good image of their country rather than the negative sides.

The Senegalese-American Entertainer stressed that Africans do not tell their positive stories, adding that negative stories make front pages in the newspapers and end up being perceived globally as the only truth of the continent.


 

Noting that there are probably more disasters, killings and shootings in America, he said only less than a dozen are reported why the rest are ignored.

Akon reiterated that the American filmmakers protect the negative image of their country and choose to sell the positive aspects of the country, thereby giving people the impression that it is the land where dreams come true.
