The former One Direction star, 25, and Love Made Me Do It hitmaker, 35, who share son, Bear, who is turning two this month, proved their split was amicable as they shared a friendly reunion on the red carpet.
In a video, also seen on the Mirror, it sees Liam sweetly kiss ex Cheryl on the cheek and then give her a hug after bumping into each other at the star-studded event.
The two stars appear on very friendly terms in the footage as they stop and talk to each other for a few moments before the Bedroom Floor hitmaker is led away by his entourage.
Liam and Cheryl's run-in is the first time the former couple have come face-to-face at a public event since their split in July 2018 after two years together.
An onlooker exclusively told MailOnline about their reunion: 'They looked very friendly. They were smiling and talking and they went in for a big hug.'
The two stars made separate appearances at WE Day on Wednesday, with Liam making another solo show at the Global Awards.
During her appearance at WE Day, Naomi cut an interview short and managed to dodge a question regarding Liam when quizzed on the red carpet, according to The Sun.
This came after she was allegedly flirting with rapper Drake, while attending Jay Z and Beyonce's annual Gold Oscar party at Chateau Marmont in LA last month.
