A peace and environmental rights advocate, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, has cautioned youths across the country not to allow themselves to be used by any politician, whose primary desire was how to acquire power and fame.
The activist also urged all candidates to show good example by accepting the results of the elections.
He urged the youths not to resort to violence in a bid to protect their political leaders.
According to him, the current political leaders in Nigeria were not worth dying for and appealed to the youths to see themselves as tomorrow leaders.
According to him, “It is important for all presidential candidates to accept the outcome of the polls and support the winner for a better Nigeria”.
He further called on the National Orientation Agency, the Independent National Electoral Commission to come up with adequate sensitisation, orientation and awareness programmes for inter-party, members, candidates and voters to interact peacefully.
While sympathising with families who lost their loved ones and those who sustained injuries as a result of election violence in different parts of the country, he urged security operatives to adopt high level intelligence to prevent crime, protect lives and property.
