Inside Kate Ford's home

She's played the lovable yet troublesome Tracy Barlow on the cobbles for more than 17 years.

And Kate Ford's real-life home couldn't be more different to her Coronation Street character's house in Weatherfield. 

Taking to Instagram, the soap star, 42, has shared several pictures of her lavish South London abode which she lives in with her ten-year-old son, Otis, whom she shares with her ex-husband Jon Connerty. 

Kate, who previously revealed that she lives on the same street as presenter Kate Thornton and that they're 'in and out of each other's houses all the time', certainly has an eye for decor.

The Coronation Street legend's home boasts the likes of a luxury walk-in wardrobe, designer clothes, a marble bathroom and a huge modern kitchen.

In one Instagram snap, Kate showed off her open plan kitchen, which has a Scandinavian theme to it with teak coloured wooden units and a large eight-seater dining table.

And if that wasn't enough, the huge cooking and dining space also has a large grey sofa for guests to lie down on after feasting on food. 

Kate also has a large living room with several crushed velvet sofas to chill out on with her son and she even held Otis a fun-looking gaming party, with two huge television screens for the event. 

And when it's not being used to host a get together, the space can be used for relaxing and reading with large grey Bi-Fold Doors opening out into the garden outside.   

With a busy working timetable, comes a hectic event schedule with the likes of the British Soap Awards and National Television Awards.
