Mohamed Salah baffled football fans all over the world after posting a cryptic message to his millions of social media followers before deleting his accounts on Twitter and Instagram.
Searches for Mohamed Salah’s accounts on the popular social media platforms drew blanks on Wednesday, with the forward appearing to have deactivated his accounts on both Twitter and Instagram, where he has a combined following of more than 20 million.
Salah, 26, tweeted to his 7.78 million followers on Tuesday evening with a cryptic message reading: “2019 Resolution: Time to get in touch, for real.”
However the reason for Salah’s sudden disappearance might have just been explained by Mootaz Chehade who tweeted
Mohamed Salah deactivating all his social media accounts after his last tweet “time to get in touch, for real” is understood to be part of a campaign to raise awareness to the importance of real life communication away from social media. What a way to get his point across.
Earlier this month, Salah was named the African Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.
