Kate Beckinsale posts VERY sassy response to fan question about Pete Davidson

She's sparked rumours of a fling with Pete Davidson after the pair were spotted leaving a Golden Globes party together earlier this week.

And Kate Beckinsale, 45, had a very cheeky response when a fan asked her about the rumours on Instagram.

While the actress was sharing a glam photo of her model mother Judy on the social media platform, one follower was keen to know more about Pete, commenting:  'Dear heavens, Kate. Not Pete Davidson.'

Kate, famed for her quick-witted Instas, sassily responded: 'No that's my mother. Easy mistake.'

The Pete and Kate rumours started after they were seen 'outside on the patio and left together' at the Netflix Golden Globes party on Sunday night.

An insider has informed Page Six TV that Pete and Kate 'were flirting all night and sipping Moët champagne' at the event.

Pete is coming off a recent whirlwind engagement to pop star Ariana Grande, while Kate was snapped kissing Jack Whitehall in a karaoke bar in November.

The young comedian, who is famous for his Weekend Update segments on Saturday Night Live, spent over a year dating Larry David's daughter Cazzie David.

Pete hit the headlines this May when he publicly became an item with pop star Ariana, whom he got engaged to in June.
