Lagosians started the first day of the last month of 2018 venting their anger on social media after campaign posters and billboards of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate in Lagos, Jimi Agbaje, were removed and vandalized on the third mainland bridge.
The governorship aspirant earlier today published a video on his verified Twitter account to confirm that his campaign posters were destroyed and littered on the bridge.
He wrote: “Early this morning our boards were vandalized and removed just as campaign commenced. Some of our deployment staff were also threatened with violence and warned to desist.”
He added: “Fellow Lagosians, we must stand against this sort of tyranny. This is no ordinary election. This is a fight for #Freedom. A fight for Democracy. A fight for Lagos. We will not be silent and we will not be oppressed or suppressed into a corner. This time around, Democracy must win.”
While those responsible for the vandalism are yet to be known, Lagosians have taken to Twitter to vent their anger while others point an accusing finger at the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
