The Vamps guitarist's weight has plummeted during his time in the jungle, with him reportedly reducing his meals to just half their size to share with fussy-eater Harry Redknapp.
And while his bandmates Tristan Evans and Brad Simpson applauded the 24-year-old for his generosity, they have aired their fears over his gaunt frame due to his previous battle with anorexia.
Tristan told The Sun: 'We're obviously worried about him, but we can't expect him to join the jungle and not lose weight, it's going to happen because of the small amount of food they're having.
'We knew he would come out a lot skinnier, but he looks good, I don't know how much weight he's lost but he will definitely put it back on when he comes back.
'He'll have a nut roast with his family and then a glass of Malbec, or maybe a bottle."
It comes after it was reported All Night hitmaker has been offering the football manager, Harry 71, some of his veggies after fearing his limited food intake could take its toll on his heath.
The musician's girlfriend Kirstie Brittain told The Sun: 'James is being generous with his food, giving it to Harry because Harry is struggling so much with all the meats.
'James is veggie so he’s giving Harry half his veg, which is why he’s gotten so skinny.'
