Declan Donnelly scolds Holly Willoughby for being too stern with John Barrowman

She's replaced his lifelong pal Ant McPartlin on this year's I'm A Celebrity and things appeared to be going so well. 

But on Wednesday night's episode of I'm A Celebrity, Declan Donnelly, 43, playfully scolds Holly Willoughby, 37, for being too stern towards John Barrowman, 51. 

It all started when John was tasked with the Scary Rose trial in which he had to swim underwater in a boat filled with critters, including a crocodile and 40 eels. 

As he bravely dived straight on in while holding his breath, the actor managed to get his first star fairly quickly, which equals one meal for the camp.   

As he got it, Holly quickly said: 'Well done. Star number one. Get that straight in your bag, otherwise it won't count.'

Dec said: 'Alright... stern. That was stern though.'

Looking embarrassed, Holly responded: 'That was my mum voice.' 

Holly then asked John 'what it's like down there.' 

He said: 'It's dark. There's lots of eels and crabs and stuff.'

As Dec praised Holly for her use of stats, she said: 'there's actually 40 eels in there,' before she broke into nervous giggles.'
