With barely less than 97 days to the commencement of the 2019 General Elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has informed Nigerians that the Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) should be collected at the Ward (Registration Area).
The electoral body stated this in a statement issued on its PVC locator platform to registered voters who are yet to collect their PVCs.
“With the decentralization of the collection of Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), INEC has instructed that PVCs be collected at the Ward (Registration Area).
The INEC is currently doing everything possible to ensure that every validly registered voter get his/her Permanent Voter Card (PVC) to be able to exercise their franchise in the General Election.
Meanwhile, here are steps to locate and collect your PVC:
- Visit: http://pvc.inecnigeria.org/
- Fill the PU Number Search form
- Enter your Polling Unit (PU) Number on the Temporary Voter Card (TVC)
- Select the state you registered under (Polling Unit / Ward Number Search form)
- Select the local government area
- Select your ward
- Click on “Find PVC” to locate your PVC.
If you don’t have TVC to get your PU number, you can use your Ward and/or Polling Unit Description.
You can do this on the online PVC pickup locator. All you need to do is to select your State and LGA where you registered. If you know your Ward, select it from the dropdown.
If you don’t know your Ward, click on the checkbox and you can enter a keyword of your Polling unit. Click “FIND MY PVC” to view the Pick Up location for your PVC.
The (PVC) or Voter’s card is a registration card a voter obtains at the registration centre where he/she was registered as a voter. The card is used to identify citizens who can vote at an election.
