WATCH: Childish Gambino’s ‘Feels Like Summer’ Video Shows ‘Crying’ Kanye West As Cartoon
After his “This is America” hit which made waves across the world, Donald Glover, better known as Childish Gambino, has dropped an animated music video for his single “Feels Like Summer” on Saturday, and it’s chock-full of high-profile cartoon cameos.
Unlike his last hit though, the video for “Feels Like Summer” doesn’t feature any violence and isn’t being dissected by people looking for a message.
Instead, it’s the impressive number of animated cameos from Donald Glover’s fellow musicians that has excited people.
The animated music video sees Gambino strolling casually through a neighbourhood filled with the biggest and brightest hip-hop talents, including Rihanna, 21 Savage, Migos, Will Smith and Travis Scott who knocks over Nicki Minaj’s building blocks.
It also shows Future who steals Drake’s bike and a crying Kanye West who seems to be comforted by the former first lady Michelle Obama, among others.
The video was directed by Glover, Ivan Dixon and Greg Sharp, with illustrations from Justin Richburg.
