Roman Abramovich To Sell Chelsea For £3bn? Here’s All We Know

Roman Abramovich To Sell Chelsea For £3bn? Here’s All We Know

There is a report that Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, is willing to sell the West London club if his £3billion valuation is met.

According to Bloomberg, the Russian billionaire remains ‘frustrated by his British visa problems’ and is open to bids to finally sell the Blues once the right offer is met.

It added that “He’s already rejected bids for the club in excess of $2.3 billion—which would be a world-record price for a sports team—according to people familiar with the talks.”

“Earlier this year, Abramovich hired Raine Group LLC, a merchant bank in New York, to advise on the possibility of a full or partial sale of the club.”

“A person familiar with the discussions says Abramovich wants £3 billion.”

Abramovich has not been seen in London for several months since a series of visa problems in May.

However, despite his absence and stories resurfacing of a potential sale, sources at the west London club have told Sky Sports News that the club is not for sale.

The sources say reports that Abramovich is willing to sell Chelsea for up to £3bn are inaccurate and the club remains not for sale.
