A new resumption date has been announced for the two chambers of the National Assembly.
The parliament, which was earlier slated to resume on Tuesday, September 25, following the ongoing two-month annual recess, will now resume on October 9.
The postponement was contained in a statement by the National Assembly clerk, Mohammed Sani-Omolori, addressed to the lawmakers.
It is understood that the decision followed a meeting by the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday night.
