Jamie Redknapp shouts in agony as shocking moment he BREAKS his wrist attempting Guinness World Record

He suffered the misfortune of having his hand in a cast for most of the summer after fracturing his wrist filming A League of Their Own earlier this year.

And the stomach-churning moment Jamie Redknapp damaged his wrist while attempting to break a Guinness World Record alongside co-panellist Romesh Ranganathan has been revealed in a new teaser clip.

The Sky Sports pundit, 45, howls in agony after Romesh drops a football on him while elevated 120ft into the air in their bid to beat the keepie uppie record.

Launching into an expletive-laden rant, Jamie immediately grabs hold of his wrist after the ball awkwardly lands on his hand after plummeting from the high altitude, before proclaiming: 'That really hurt.'

But the determined sports star doesn't let his injury deter him, mistaking it for a sprain, and continues his attempt to beat the record - and is eventually successful.

Impressed by Jamie's commitment, host James Corden tells the audience: 'What's amazing is that he thinks he's just sprained it and he carries on, breaks the record, goes to hospital, gets a scan, gets a cast, comes back and does the show.

'It goes against everything you ever heard about Jamie Redknapp. Some of his Liverpool teammates must be going, "Where was that spirit before?"'

Jamie then explains: 'It's that weird thing, Fred's [Flintoff] got it too, when you start something, like trying to break a record, you're not going to let anything beat you.'

The injury, which will be unveiled in Friday night's show, happened in early July and has lead to Jamie's exclusion from a number of the show's challenges.
