Ariana Grande skips in the rain while out with friends in New York City

Ariana Grande was skipping in the rain on Tuesday as she stepped out with friends in New York City, after revealing she's 'taking time out to heal and mend' following a difficult couple of weeks.

The 25-year-old pop star enjoyed a late summer stroll under a downpour after missing the Emmy Awards on Monday night in Los Angeles.

Ariana and her Saturday Night Live fiance Pete Davidson both skipped the ceremony, which comes a week after the death of Ariana's ex boyfriend Mac Miller.

The One Last Time singer kept it casual in a long grey New York Knicks basketball sweatshirt, matching sweatpants and white sneakers.

Ariana had her dark locks up in a pair of knots secured with black scrunchies. The No Tears Left To Cry singer accessorized with a simple necklace.

She accentuated her natural beauty with pink lipstick and light eye makeup that slightly smeared in the rain.

Ariana and her pals went on a coffee run together and she was seen laughing and skipping in the street while getting caught in the rain.

The Problem singer opted out of attending the Emmy Awards with her fiance Pete Davidson, 24, following the recent death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.

Ariana and Pete were expected in the audience as a photo of their Emmys seating arrangement was posted online.

Her reps told People that Ariana chose to stay home and Pete decided to support her and stayed.
