“We were together one Sunday and she was boasting about how she would celebrate this year’s Christmas in grand style.
“I told her that it was too early to plan for Christmas now, but she kept on boasting and saying she would want to have fun during the season. I didn’t know she was planning to sell her own child. This is terrible,”

Mba reportedly sold the baby to a 55-year-old, Edith Obiakor, of Akudo Street in Nkpor. Obiakor, it was gathered, resold the baby to her in-law, one Vitus Aniunoh, 50, of Patterson Street, Fegge in Onitsha for N650,000. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
He said the suspects had been arrested, adding that the baby had been recovered.
