Miss Universe Zambia, Melba Shakabozha Declared Wanted For Stabbing Her White Lover, Maji

Newly crowned Miss Universe Zambia, Melba Shakabozha, has been declared wanted by the police in Lusaka, for reportedly stabbing her white lover, Maji and disappearing with his money.

Melba was on a holiday in Mauritius as one of her prize, where the murder incident was uncovered. It was gathered that the newly crowned Miss Universe Zambia, stabbed her Finnish lover, Maji in his stomach twice before stealing his money.

Her white lover who lost lots of blood and was unconscious was discovered by one of the hotel waiters who reported to the manager, and he was immediately rushed to the hospital. The beauty Queen was declared wanted, after Maji who regained consciousness, narrated his story to the police who opened a case against Melba. It was further gathered that her mobile phone has been turned off.
Melba Emmanuel Shakabozha has crowned the new Miss Universe Zambia during the finals held August 18 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. The 23-year-old model and radiology student before now was expected to represent her country at the 218 Miss Universe competition to be held in Bangkok, Thailand in December.


A Vodafone brand ambassador and runway fashion model, Melba came-up against 15 other contestants who competed in categories like public service wear, swimwear, evening wear and national costume. The public service category saw models strutting in different outfits including uniforms for the likes of the Zambia Police, Zambia Army, Zambia National Service (ZNS) and the Immigration.

Favorite Louisa Chingangu was the First-Runner-Up while Luwi Kawanda and Jila Makina were tied for Second Princess with Crystal Chipasha scooping the Miss Personality. Idah Chilembo walked away with the Justina Mutale Foundation for Leadership Scholarship Award. For being the overall winner, Melba walked away with a car, a Master’s Degree Scholarship Overseas and will speak at the 63rd Session UN Headquarters in New York in March 2019.
