Meghan flashes her legs in a thigh-skimming £327 Judith and Charles tuxedo dress

The Duchess of Sussex looked stunning in a thigh-skimming tuxedo dress as she joined Prince Harry for a special charity performance of hit musical Hamilton last night.

The royal couple beamed as they spoke to guests inside the foyer of the Victoria Palace Theatre, London, after being ushered inside through the stage door.  

Meghan, 37, showed off her toned legs in a £327 dress by Canadian label Judith and Charles and Paul Andrew pumps for the occasion, while her husband Harry, 33, looked smart in a suit and tie. 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were introduced to the show's award-winning creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and his wife Vanessa Nadal before the group took their seats in the theatre's Royal Circle. 

Prince Harry then took to the stage with the cast where he burst into song himself with a rendition of You'll Be Back - sung by the character of his ancestor George III in the musical. 

The event, which marks the royals' first public appearance in a month, was held to benefit Prince Harry's charity Sentebale, which works with children and young people affected by HIV in southern Africa.

Hip hop musical Hamilton tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. It opened to rave reviews in Broadway, winning Miranda a slew of awards, before transferring to London earlier this year.

Ironically, the show pokes fun at one of Prince Harry's distant relatives, King George III, who is cast as a comical and out-of-touch character.

But Harry clearly took it in good spirit. After the show he got on stage and burst into song, mimicking one of the tunes sung by his ancestor, with the words 'you say'.

The audience clapped and cheered at his surprisingly talented antics. But Harry quickly cautioned them not to expect more, saying of the show's creator: 'He did try but I said no.' 

He thanked the audience for raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for his charity, Sentebale, and to the cast and crew. He added: 'I don't know how you guys do this every single night, over and over again, and in this heat as well.' 

Creator Lin-Manuel Miranda also proved a star turn as he told the audience that he came up with idea of putting King George in his show while he was on honeymoon. 'I wrote the song on my honeymoon and smash, cut to 2018 and I am sitting next to his sixth great-grandson, the Duke of Sussex....' 

Speaking to Miranda, 38, ahead of the show, Prince Harry said: 'Guys congratulations in bringing it over here... Thank you for doing this for Sentebale. It means so much to us and it's going to be a fun night.'
