Watch The First Trailer For “Godzilla: King Of The Monsters” | See Release Date
Warner Bros. on Saturday, July 21, released the trailer for “Godzilla: King of the Monsters,” starring Brown, Bradley Whitford, Vera Farmiga, and Sally Hawkins, at San Diego Comic-Con.
In the beginning of the trailer, “Stranger Things” star, Millie Bobby Brown, who is used to fighting demogorgons – but now she’s faced with a new, much larger monster – can be seen in the center of the action as a city falls around her.
As the trailer heats up, we get glimpses at more than just Godzilla, including King Ghidorah, the insect Mothra, and the winged beast Rodan.
“King of the Monsters” is the sequel to the Gareth Edwards-directed “Godzilla” movie released in 2014.
It initially seemed like a standalone movie, until the post-credits scene on “King Kong: Skull Island” burst open the doors for an entire cinematic universe of rebooted larger-than-life monsters.
Monster fans, who have been waiting since 2014 to see Godzilla: King of the Monsters, will still have to wait ahead of the May 31st, 2019 release date.
Directed by Michael Dougherty, the film also stars Charles Dance, Kyle Chandler, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Sally Hawkins, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ziyi Zhang, and Ken Watanabe.
