ISCO REJECTS MAN UTD MOVE DUE TO MOURINHO
Real Madrid star Isco is reported to have rejected the chance to join Manchester United this summer.
That’s according to Don Balon, who claims United had submitted an ambitious £159m (€180m) offer for the Spain star in a bid to lure him to Old Trafford.
But it’s claimed Isco has rejected the move as he’s unwilling to play for Jose Mourinho, and feels his tactics would stifle his progress were he to move to Old Trafford.
It’s said Isco is all too aware of how the likes of flair players Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have seen their style stifled and believes he too could suffer should he join United.
The playmaker, however, is currently thinking about his future at Real Madrid and will sit down and chat with Julen Lopetegui after the World Cup to see how he sees him fitting into his side at the Bernabeu.
ROMA JOIN RACE FOR MAN UTD, LIVERPOOL TARGET
Serie A giants Roma have joined the race to sign Juventus and Liverpool target Mateo Kovacic, reports in Spain claim.
According to radio station Cadena Cope, the Romans are interested in acquiring Kovacic to bolster an already strong midfield.
The 24-year-old joined Real Madrid from Inter in the summer of 2015 for a fee of €29million, but he has been prevented from obtaining a regular starting berth by Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro.
Roma have already made nine signings this summer, including the impressive coups of Javier Pastora and Justin Kluivert.
Meanwhile, Spanish outlet Don Balon recently claimed that Jose Mourinho has instructed Manchester United to pay the €50m release clause to land Kovacic.
