Police Publishes Phone Numbers, E-Mail Addresses To Lodge Complaints Against SARS

Barely days after the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris, approved the independent audit of detention cells in all police commands including those of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), the apex security outfit has released phone numbers and email addresses for the public to lodge complaints against personnel of SARS.
Allegations of human rights abuse have been levelled against SARS operatives and policemen generally.
Currently, there is an ongoing campaign on social media to scrap the police outfit.
But the Police authorities, in a series of tweets on Thursday, made available phone numbers and e-mail addresses which members of the public can contact to report any incident for “investigation and further actions”.

Aggrieved members of the public who have any complaint in the past or present of violation of their rights by any Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) personnel anywhere in the country should report through any of the following channels for investigation and further actions.
