Nigeria’s Men Basketball Team D’Tigers Blow Out Uganda In FIBA World Championship Qualifiers

Nigeria’s Senior Men’s Basketball team, D’Tigers blew out the Ugandan team 109 – 66 in their opening FIBA Africa World Basketball qualifiers on Friday night in Lagos.
D’Tigers were led by the team captain, Ike Diogu who finished the game with a stat line of 24 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists and crucial back to back threes that demoralized the Ugandan opposition.
After the game, D’Tigers head coach Alex Nwora while speaking to reporters said he had given debuts to eight new players and he felt they gave a good account of themselves.
He said, ” I had 8 debutants on my team and was switching based on what Uganda had on the floor. I tried to give everyone a run and I am glad they all did well in the end despite a shaky start”.
