Simon Cowell was left speechless when Japanese performer Wes-P performed a naked tablecloth trick for the America's Got Talent judges on Monday night's show.
His shock, however, was somewhat unconvincing, given the same contestant appeared on Britain's Got Talent just a few weeks before, and has also cropped up on the Czech-Slovak incarnation of the show Česko Slovensko Má Talent, as well as the German and Georgian versions.
Wes-P reached the semi-final on the UK version of the talent show under the moniker Mr Uekusa where he performed an almost identical trick to the one American's watched on Monday evening's show.
When on the show in Britain - which aired during the first week of auditions back in April - Simon was the first and only judge to press his red X, after the Japanese variety performer removed all of his clothes, covered himself in a satin sheet, placed items of crockery on his body and whipped the sheet off from underneath.
Simon had been appalled at the time, asking him when the act was over: 'You do know that the winner of this show gets to perform in front of the royal family, don't you?'
In comparison, his fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams had loved it, and put him through to the next round, citing his act as 'erotic' (David) and 'different' (Alesha).
The Japanese performer got through to the semi-finals of the British show before heading stateside for his ill-fated attempts to crack the US.
Simon tried a different tack when Mr Uekusa cropped up in front of him once again on America's Got Talent, this time as Wes-P.
