Danniella Westbrook sobs as she reveals she was sectioned after trying to kill herself

They first appeared on Loose Women together back in May, bonding over their shared addiction battle.

And Danniella Westbrook, 44, and Kerry Katona, 37, were joining forces again for another emotional discussion on Wednesday's edition of the ITV chat show, where they touched upon their lowest points, suicide attempts and both being introduced to drugs aged just 14.

Former EastEnders star Danniella gave her most candid interview yet, admitting the last four years have seen her relapsing more seriously than she has previously let on, breaking down as she confessed she was sectioned after repeatedly trying to take her own life just two years ago.

Kicking off the conversation, Kerry said: 'I feel really emotional. To have two notorious druggies and mental health problems, it shows you can overcome it.'

The pair discussed how much their respective addiction battles have affected their children, with Danniella breaking down as she revealed her son Kai, 21, had taken the brunt of her problems.

The troubled star was consoled by pal Kerry as she admitted she had asked to be sectioned two years ago following repeated attempts to take her own life.

She explained: 'Everyone thinks my lowest point was when I got seen with a hole in my nose but my lowest point has been the last four years and not having my daughter in my life, not having certain things in my life, I haven’t dealt with it the right way, I haven’t dealt with it the adult way. I have just used.

'All I’ve done is used. I put myself into hospital two years ago, I said to them, "I have taken copious amounts of coke, every medicine in the house, drunk alcohol; this, that and the other.
