Burna Boy Thankful As Kanye West ‘Inadvertently’ Helps Boost His Album

Kanye West’s “Ye” album has inadvertently helped in boosting the streaming numbers of a song by dancehall artiste Burna Boy and the Nigerian singer is all thankful.
The US rapper’s album is titled ‘Ye’ while the Nigerian singer has a song of the same name on his album, which was released in January, 2018.
Kanye released his latest album on June 1, but the album became available on music platforms the following day.
While music lovers have been searching for the album all over streaming platforms, they did not only stumble upon the West’s latest album, it seems that searches are also bringing up a totally different result – Burna Boy’s polyrhythmic “Ye” off of his early 2018 album “Outside.”
The Kanye-hungry fans were keen to download anything that had ‘Ye’ attached to it and they did downloaded the song by Buna Boy.

Not only has the listens on the track gone up by 200%, it is now a top number in Nigeria.
Apparently grateful, the dancehall artist took to Twitter himself to thank Kanye for the good ‘confusion’, uploading a video while dancing to Yeezy’s “Yikes.”
