Arsenal Set To Announce The Signing Of Bernd Leno From Bayer Leverkusen

Arsenal are set to announce the signing of goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen

Bernd Leno is viewed as the long-term replacement for Petr Cech at the Emirates.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has already signed Swiss World Cup full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free from Juventus, and the addition of Leno suggests he is focused on sorting out Arsenal’s defensive problems.

SportBILD in Germany claims 26-year-old Leno will be presented to the media by Arsenal on Tuesday.

Leno has spent the past seven seasons at Leverkusen, making 233 appearances for the Bundesliga club.

He has earned six caps for Germany, but despite being selected for last year’s Confederations Cup was cut from Germany’s 23-man squad for the World Cup finals.
