Yet favourite-to-win Lee Ridley suffered a nasty fall in his hotel room on Tuesday evening, putting his appearance in the weekend's finale in jeopardy.
But the comedian, 37 - who suffers from neurological condition cerebral palsy which renders him unable to speak - has announced that he will be appearing, regardless.
Lee - who uses a voice synthesizer for his routines - tweeted about the incident.
He wrote: 'This is why Lost Balance Guy never made it onto BGT. Don’t worry though, it was only a trip. I’ll be match fit for the final on Sunday!'
The performer uploaded a shot of him holding a thumb up, smiling from ear-to-ear and looking far from disheartened.
The only difference from his on-stage look was that he sported a plaster on his nose, covering up the injury he endured from the trip.
He added, in a chat with The Sun: 'After such an amazing night in my semi final, I tripped over when I got back to my hotel on Monday night.
'Lost Voice Guy became Lost Balance Guy for a moment. Don’t worry though, I’m feeling fine again now and am looking forward to the final.
