James Blunt hits back with hilarious response to Twitter troll who asked why he was invited to the Royal Wedding

He is known for his witty Twitter putdowns. 

So James Blunt, 44, came up with a hilarious response when a fan questioned how he managed to bag an invite to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding over the weekend.

In a now deleted tweet, one user asked: 'Who invited James Blunt to the royal wedding?'

Yet quick to hit back, the You're Beautiful responded in his typical dry fashion: 'I'll give you two guesses.'  

A slew of celebrities turned out for the Royal Wedding for the weekend, with the likes of Oprah, George and Amal Clooney and the Beckhams spotted making their way into St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. 

James arrived for the ceremony along with his wife Sofia Wellesley, who is also the granddaughter of the 8th Duke of Wellington. 

The Goodbye My Lover singer has known both Prince William and Harry since their teenage years, and also served in the same army regiment as his friend Prince Harry.  

When asked if the royals enjoy his music, James said previously: 'You'd have to ask them... 

'They've definitely asked me to perform before and they've come to a couple of gigs – that might mean nothing!'
