Holly Willoughby's loyal fans leap to her defence as she's accused of 'stealing the limelight' from Meghan Markle.

She revealed on This Morning that she was planning to watch the Royal Wedding in her own wedding dress as she celebrated her sister Kelly's 40th and mum Lynne's 70th birthdays.

And Holly Willoughby, 37, stayed true to her word as she followed the party's dress code and showed off her trim figure in the exact bridal gown that she tied the knot in to producer Dan Baldwin in 2007. 

Yet the television presenter's decision to do so inevitably divided her fans, with some heaping compliments on the mother-of-three and others accusing her of 'stealing the limelight' from Meghan Markle.

During the event, Holly kept her 3.6 million Instagram followers updated over the fun celebrations as she shared three separate photos of herself in the white wedding dress. 

In the first picture, the Dancing On Ice host shared a picture of herself with her sister Kelly and mum Lynne all standing in their white bridal gowns.

She jokingly captioned the picture with: 'So it’s the Royal wedding, my sisters 40th and my mums 70th birthday party at the Willoughby residence today!!!! ... I blame you @ladywilloughby for the dress code!!!! #whynot #happiness #love,' followed by love emojis. (sic)
