She welcomed her first child with boyfriend Liam Payne just over a year ago.
And Cheryl admitted she has not long started to 'feel human again' since becoming a mother as she spoke about getting her beauty regime back on track after suffering with her pigmentation during pregnancy.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, the 33-year-old singer revealed it wasn't until Bear turned six-months-old that she decided to work on returning to her glamorous self - though she has found a whole new love for her body since having her son.
While the star has remained relatively tight-lipped on both her journey into motherhood and life as a mother, she admitted 'dark circles' and 'pigmentation' became a problem when she was carrying her little one, with both taking a long time to fade.
She confessed: 'My son's one and I had to do something. When I was pregnant I had pigmentation on my face so I wanted to start to correct that. I would say my beauty regime came back after about six months.'
The star also enthused that while she now has to be more diligent about looking after herself, she has found a whole new appreciation for her body.
She added: 'More so as a mother, probably. You realise how much you need to take care of yourself and you respect your body a lot more for what it can do – I do, anyway.'
The interview also saw Cheryl confess that she and Liam often rely on their parents to help them balance parenthood with their hectic careers, and also credits lots of organised planning.
Asked how she managed to juggle the pair, she said: 'Um, grandparents! And I just plan ahead. It’s planned not to fail. I’m quite organised when it comes to the baby because I have to be. And if I plan, then I can book in the grandparents.
