Biafra Group Fails In Attempt To Take Over Enugu Govt House

Members of the Biafra Zionists Federation (BZF) have failed in a Wednesday morning attempt to take over Enugu Government House.

The group had some days back stated that nothing would stop their plans to declare Biafra republic on May 30.

The BZF had further expected “all Biafrans to observe a public holiday on May 30, adding: “Nigeria will not escape independence of Biafra on May 30th, if they arrest us, they have dug their hole. If they don’t arrest us, the announcement will be made.“

It also added that no amount of fighter jets deployed against the zone would stop the group from announcing Biafra and occupying the Enugu State Government House, which it said, was the designated headquarters of Biafra on May 30.

However, the Zionists led by their self-acclaimed President, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka, according to Daily Post, stormed the Government House as early as 7 am with Biafra flags.

It was gathered that the Zionists marched from Bissala Road axis to the premises of the State government house but were rounded up by security operatives upon their arrival at the gate.

A combined team of security operatives made up of the DSS, anti-terrorism squad, mobile policemen, SARS, among others carried out the operation.

It was also learnt that Onwuka and about fifteen other members of the group were arrested, while others fled.
