Theodore Orji’s presidential campaign posters flood Abuja

With less than 15 months to the 2019 general elections, the presidential campaign posters of Senator Theodore Orji, immediate past governor of Abia State have flooded Nigerian streets and social media.

Orji, who governed Abia State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, between 2007 to 2015; is gunning for the office of the president, according to some posters cited by DAILY POST on Tuesday.

Ochendo, as Orji is commonly called, in the poster, said he had answers to Nigeria’s problems.

In one of the posters, Orji could be seen dressed in a black suit and pointing his index finger into the air with the inscription: ‘The answers to Nigeria’s problems. Senator Theodore Orji (CON) for president.’

Sources said some of the posters were even spotted around some streets in Kubwa, Dei Dei and Zuba areas of Abuja and Niger.

At the moment, the former governor has neither come out to affirm or disclaim the posters, which are also trending on social media with mixed reactions.

Orji was born in Amaokwe Ugba, Umuahia – Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State in 1950. He attended Santa Crux Secondary School, Olokoro, Holy Ghost College, Owerri and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Ibadan in 1977.
