Oyo Assembly passes bill to regulate forestry activities

The Oyo State House of Assembly has passed a bill into law to regulate forestry activities in the state.

The bill which was read for the third time and passed at the house plenary on Thursday is titled, “Forestry Amendment bill 2017.”

Chairman, House Committee on Agriculture, Hon. Safiu Olalere (Ido State Constituency) while presenting the bill informed that the law would regulate forestry activities and also generate more income to the state government.

The House which later constituted itself into the committee of the whole headed by its Speaker, Hon. Michael Adeyemo considered the bill clause by clause and passed it into law.
