Opeyemi Odutemowo is the 29-years-old lady who recently bagged a PhD in Physics from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
She started off with a BSc in Applied physics (Geophysics) at the University of Lagos. But she was clearly just getting warmed up. She set off to the University of Pretoria where she bagged an MSc in Physics. Had MSc and PhD Degrees in Physics at the University of Pretoria (South Africa). She is also a member of The South African Institute of Physics and winner of several merit awards.
Her mission was to investigate the effects of fission product bombardment on glassy carbon.
She studied the diffusion behavior of nuclear fission products in glassy carbon after heat treatment using Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS).
she aims to proffer solutions that will help generate cleaner and safer electricity in Africa.
