Shakespeare Denies Rift With Ranieri

Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare has denied talks that there were conflicts between him and former Leicester manager Ranieri.

Claudio Ranieri was sacked less than a year after leading Leicester to their first EPL title and reports have suggested top players were behind his exit.

In an interview the Italian manager gave, he denied talks of any player being involved in his sacking, but suggested that someone was working against him. However, Shakespeare doesn’t agree with the 65-year-old.

“We have never had any arguments or hard feelings,” Shakespeare said ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Atletico Madrid.

“Free speech is there for everybody. I don’t have any problem with that. I have a clear conscience.

“Claudio was in good humour. He came across exactly as I know him.”
