New Zealand’s Joseph Parker will defend his WBO heavyweight title against Britain’s Hughie Fury come May 6 in Auckland.
This is the first defence of the title Parker won in December, after Hughie’s cousin Tyson vacated the belt.
Both fighters are young and undefeated, with Parker at 25 boasting 22-0-18KO and Fury at 22 boasting 20-0-10KO.
Parker’s Duco Events promoter David Higgins said: “Joseph loves fighting at home in front of his Kiwi fans, so we really wanted to give him that opportunity against a truly dangerous, gifted young opponent in Hughie Fury.”
