Manchester United Preparing £35m Bid For Tottenham’s Eric Dier

Manchester United are considering a £35m summer move for Tottenham’s Eric Dier.

The Sun report that Jose Mourinho is a “huge fan” of the 23-year-old and has watched him on several occasions.

Apparently United were planning to make a move in January but Spurs rejected any talk of a transfer.

United will have a transfer kitty in excess of £200 million in the summer, however, and will return for Dier then. Tottenham are determined not to sell, however, with Mauricio Pochettino seeing the 23-year-old as key to Spurs’ future.

The England international could be an ideal candidate to succeed Michael Carrick and offer the protection alongside Paul Pogba in front of the back four.
