Danny Rose Reveals How Mauricio Pochettino Convinced Him To Stay In 2014

Danny Rose has revealed how he almost left Tottenham before Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival in 2014.

The full-back has become a Premier League and England regular in recent years.

But he told Soccer AM: “The season before he came to Spurs I didn’t have a great season and there was a lot of talk about me moving on and I looked at that option. 

“But he came and my agent called me and said your manager wants to see you. I said I’m up north and I’ll be down in a few days, he told me to get down and see him now. 

“I went down, saw him and he said: “Do you want to play for England? Well listen to everything I have to say and I will get you there”. He has been true to his word and I am grateful.”
