Which of the Premier League's 'big six' clubs will miss out on the top four? Our reporters have their say

January is drawing to a close and that means we are more than half way through the Premier League season. While Chelsea have opened up an eight point gap at the top of the table, the fate of the teams below them appears a lot less clear.

Just six points separate second place Arsenal with Manchester United in sixth and the fight for Champions League qualification will go down to the wire.

Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and the Manchester clubs all have issues that need addressing, but whose flaws will cost them a spot in the top four?

We asked our reporters...

Mike Walters

How do you explain to a couple of mates they aren't invited to your wedding because the church is too small?

How do you explain to Sir Chris Hoy and Jason Kenny that one of them is not going to make the cut for Team GB's only sprint place at the Olympic track cycling competition?

And who's going to tell Pep and Jose there is only room for four snouts in the trough when there are six ravenous beasts to feed?
