Jedward call disgruntled audience member a 'w*****' live on TV after he gives them the middle finger during their Celebrity Big Brother entrance

They have divided opinions ever since their first television appearance on The X Factor in 2009.

But Jedward were quick to show any haters their feisty sides as they entered the Celebrity Big Brother House on Friday.

The boys, who go by the names of John and Edward Grimes, were seen branding one unhappy audience member a 'w*****' on camera, after he had put his middle finger up at duo.

Taking to the stage for the first time, the blonde twins happily pumped up the audience for their entrance as they spurred them on to chant 'Jedward'.

However one particularly disgruntled fan appeared keen to show his disappointment at their arrival - continually chanting 'off' and 'who are you', before rudely holding up his third finger to the pair.

Approaching the man directly to perhaps scold him for the gesture, the twins then turn directly to the camera and mouth the word 'w*****' to viewers.

Several entertained fans took to Twitter to praise the incident - with one user calling the moment 'iconic' while another claimed: 'That's it they've got my vote'.

However it appears the individual in question was not the only unhappy fan on Friday night, with several other audience members booing the singing duo as they made their way into the house.

As if that was not enough drama for one evening, the Irish twins' explosive entrance onstage also did not go to plan - with the pair falling off the stage on their way in.

Claiming that they've 'grown up' since their first time in the house, the Irish twins, 25, divided the crowds as they made their way into the house.
